A week after the Battle of Midway the USN proposed to finish it's currently building battleships the Iowa class as full scale full sized aircraft carriers similar in appearance to then under construction Essex class:

The differences were the the reduced number of elevators of having only two, no direct hanger-catapults and a lower freeboard due to the original shape of the Iowa class battleships.
Armament called for the same as on the Essexes so 4x2,4x1 5"/38 DP-AA guns, 6x4 40mm Bofors AA guns and large amount of 20mm Oerlikon AA guns.
This drawing shows the proposal in her probably form of 1944 with added Bofors and twin Oerlikon guns similarly how the Essexes refitted in the course of the war.
I wonder who will find out the 3 types of aircrafts I've put on her! :)
Sadly no info avaiable about her dimensions, armour or displacement but not that longer then the Iowas, probably slightly heavier then her carrier counterpart and a reduced number of airwing of around 80 aircrafts rather 90-100 of the Essexes.
