During WW2 Japan too seen the effectiveness of tanks on the battlefield employed by themselves or by other armies and such designed vehicles to counter the allies much better armoured tanks. This led to the series of Ho-Ni Tank Destroyers.
Starting with the Type 1 Ho-Ni I, the improved version of the Type 2 Ho-Ni II and the final version of the Type 3 Ho-Ni III.
The last version the most protective regarding crews (still light by other standards) 12-25mm armour, the gun was a 75mm Type 90 Field gun and could roam at 38km/h with it's 170hp V-12 Diesel Engine.
