I've coloured this photo in the spring of 2012.
The Blackburn B-54 one of the last piston engined aircraft built for the Royal Navy. The plane was designed to operate from carriers and it's duty was Anti Submarine Warfare. There was another design with the same plane but with a gas turbine engine designated B-88.
This plane is flown in 1950 above the British town of Brough.
