Royal Navy GW10 Convoy Escort Design

As usual the GW10 proposals was the reduced length and modified Radar suite version of GW9.
Inner differences might be more noticeable as while the hull is shorter and carries less radars, the displacement actually risen by some 350tons probably meanings thicker armour plates

The design had the following characteristics:
Dimensions: 143.25m (wl) x 21,34 x 5,41m
Displacement: 9.500tons (full load)
Engines: 30.000shp, Steam Turbines (Probably English Electric Y100), 2 shafts
Range: Unknown probably 15-21.900km at 22km/h (8-12.900nm at 12knots)
Speed: 43km/h (24knots)
Armour: unknown probably 51mm Deck over Machinery and Magazines, 89mm Belt over Machinery and 64mm over Magazines (Missile and Guns)
Armaments:
2x2 3"/70 (76mm/70) QF Mk N1 AA Guns,
4x2 40mm/70 OQF Mk XI AA Guns,
1x2 GWS.1 Sea Slug SAM

1x Type 277Q Surface/Air Search/Height Finder Radar
2x Type 901 Missile Control/Director Radar

The sub variant A proposal which seems to be a lengthened version of GW10, might be an indication of what is required to bring the GW2-10 hulls 24knot / 43km/h convoy speed up to 29knots / 54km/h. This extra speed might be a requirement for fleet action though fleet speed was defined as 30knots or above preferable at least 32knots.
My other idea might be, though the table not shows are requirement for ASW actions to catch up with the new fast Soviet submarines at that time.
None the less the extra 27+ meters of waterline length allowed the installation of twice the power of the previous designs to 60.000shp but still remaining on full steam turbine propulsion.
Other change include the added pair of twin 40mm Bofors AA guns.
Protection tonnage of 1.500tons barely exceeded the 1.406tons of GW9 which was much shorter suggesting this was to be a thinner armoured ship. Radar suite mirrored that of GW9 rather GW10.
