Ersatz Zenta Franz Pitzinger's version

In 1913 the Admiralty of the KuK Kriegsmarine given order to design a new class of cruisers to replace the ageing and obsolete scout cruisers of the Zenta class which were to be ordered in the 1914 naval programme.
By early mid 1914 when the programme was accepted, several plans were presented by the three well respected Naval Architects of the Navy: Franz Pitzinger, Silvius Morin (These two designed the Ersatz Monarch class Battleships) and Johann Silvius.
While these designs differed from each other, they had a few common characteristics, namely the approximate 4800tons displacement, similar size, light armour of 38/20mm Deck/Belt and 56km/h (30knots) max speed.

These cruisers were fast heavily armed with numerous though smaller calibre guns and lightly armoured for their size. They carried on the role of the previous scout cruiser tasks in an improved and much more modern design.

Franz Pitzinger's design was the smallest one among these proposals and as an excellent architect he foreshadowed the need of a larger calibre gun for main cruiser weaponry compared to the ones currently used and which war experiment will soon justify.
His design had the following characteristics:
Dimensions: 149,35 (wl) x 13,7 x 4,57m
Displacement: 4.500tons (light)
Armour: Unknown
Engines: 36.000shp AEG Steam Turbines, 2 shafts
Speed: 56km/h (30knots)
Range: 7.400km at 30km/h (4.000nm at 16knots)
Armament:
6x1 15cm/50 Skoda K10 Guns
2x1 9cm/45 (88mm) Skoda K12 AA guns
2x1 47mm/44 Skoda K14 Guns

No Torpedoes stated.
No drawings seems to survive.
I've used a flush deck design as a basis for this design, and while no torpedoes stated it is safely to assume at least two single tubes would be provided like on the other proposals.
