Kongo Replacement Design 30K Variants

The A version here shows a different version with 3x3 356mm Cannons on 30.000tons displacement and this was only info I was able to find on it so I had to speculate and use the other two drawings in existence to make this.

The design had the following characteristics:
Dimensions: unknown (I've used these: 220 (wl) 222,5 (oa) x 30 m )
Displacement: 30.000tons (standard)
Armour: unknown probably, around 330mm Belt and 152mm Deck
Engines: around 75.000shp, 3 shafts
Speed: 48km/h (26knots)
Armaments:
3x3 356mm/50 Type 90 Cannons
4x2,8x1 140mm/55 Type 88 Guns (No info on actual number and layout)
4x2 12cm/45 10th Year Type DP-AA Guns
4x1 40mm Type HI AA guns
2x1 61cm Underwater Torpedo Tubes
2-3x Seaplanes (Nakajima E4N)

For the B version I've chosen the same hull as the A version and accordingly modified the armament to 2-4-4 arrangement, basically the prototype of one of the final versions of the Kongo Replacement design:

This arrangement provides a thinner citadel armour near the nose of the ship and thus reducing it's length and tonnage, though this was partly offset by putting the quad turrets in superfiring positions, none the less this design shows that on 30.000tons you can put more firepower with the same guns then the British done with the King George V class some 6 years later

The design had the following characteristics:
Dimensions: unknown (I've used these: 220 (wl) 222,5 (oa) x 30 m )
Displacement: 30.000tons (standard)
Armour: unknown probably, around 305mm Belt and 152mm Deck
Engines: around 66.000shp, 3 shafts
Speed: 46km/h (25knots)
Armaments:
1x2,2x4 356mm/50 Type 90 Cannons
4x2,8x1 140mm/55 Type 88 Guns (No info on actual number and layout)
4x2 12cm/45 10th Year Type DP-AA Guns
4x1 40mm Type HI AA guns
2x1 61cm Underwater Torpedo Tubes
2-3x Seaplanes (Nakajima E4N)

Variant C shows that while on 25.000ton 2x2 41cm main guns seemed the maximum firepower, on 30.000tons that incresed to 6 barrels, in this case in two triple turrets. Essentially this design was upsized 25K version but the extra tonnage allowed more secondary guns to be carried which I choose the layout of the 2-4-4 design of 35.000tons.

The design had the following characteristics:
Dimensions: unknown (I've used these: 210 (wl) 212,5 (oa) x 30 m )
Displacement: 30.000tons (standard)
Armour: unknown probably, around 381mm Belt and 178mm Deck
Engines: around 78.000shp, 4 shafts
Speed: 48km/h (26knots)
Armaments:
2x3 410mm/50 Type 90 Cannons
6x2 140mm/55 Type 88 Guns (No info on actual number and layout)
4x2 12cm/45 10th Year Type DP-AA Guns
4x1 40mm Type HI AA guns
2x1 61cm Underwater Torpedo Tubes
2-3x Seaplanes (Nakajima E4N)

The "D" proposal is a step up from the previous designs as it mounts 6x 41cm cannons in twin turrets, what would you call a minimal armament for a modern batteship, essentially an up gunned version of the 36cm 30K design.

The design had the following characteristics:
Dimensions: unknown (I've used these: 220 (wl) 222,5 (oa) x 30 m )
Displacement: 30.000tons (standard)
Armour: unknown probably, around 330mm Belt and 152mm Deck
Engines: around 75.000shp, 3 shafts
Speed: 48km/h (26knots)
Armaments:
3x2 410mm/50 Type 90 Cannons
4x2,8x1 140mm/55 Type 88 Guns (No info on actual number and layout)
4x2 12cm/45 10th Year Type DP-AA Guns
4x1 40mm Type HI AA guns
2x1 61cm Underwater Torpedo Tubes
2-3x Seaplanes (Nakajima E4N)

Version E of the Kongo Preliminaries represents the most heavily armed version of the 30K ton series, mounting 8x 41cm cannons in two quad turrets, essentially a slightly enlarged version of the C variant.
This is probably the most you can mount on 30.000tons, essentially an updated Nagato with all the improvements since it's design and construction of the late 1910's. Four twin turrets would had been more conventional but that would require more citadel length, more barbette and turret weight and thus reduced tonnage available for armouring the ship.
The secondary gun layout is a modified less concentrated version of the 2-4-4 design.

The design had the following characteristics:
Dimensions: unknown (I've used these: 213 (wl) 215,5 (oa) x 30 m )
Displacement: 30.000tons (standard)
Armour: unknown probably, around 381mm Belt and 178mm Deck
Engines: around 78.000shp, 4 shafts
Speed: 48km/h (26knots)
Armaments:
2x4 410mm/50 Type 90 Cannons
6x2 140mm/55 Type 88 Guns (No info on actual number and layout)
4x2 12cm/45 10th Year Type DP-AA Guns
4x1 40mm Type HI AA guns
2x1 61cm Underwater Torpedo Tubes
2-3x Seaplanes (Nakajima E4N)
